Overview
Our team, in collaboration with Radley Yelder, undertook the quality assurance testing for Arcadis’ website, focusing on ensuring flawless performance and consistency across its backend CMS Umbraco and frontend interface. This project required meticulous attention to detail, from verifying the accuracy of dynamic content to ensuring that every element, including images and forms, worked seamlessly across devices and browsers.
Challenges
The primary challenges included testing dynamic components for stability, verifying content accuracy against design specifications, and maintaining consistent performance across all supported browsers and devices. Additionally, the need to create dummy components within the CMS to simulate real-world scenarios tested the system’s ability to handle complex configurations without breaking functionality.
Solution & Strategy
To address these challenges, we adopted a rigorous testing approach. Our team tested each page extensively by simulating user interactions, including creating and configuring dummy components within Umbraco to evaluate their behavior on the frontend. We validated that all frontend content matched the designs provided by the client, ensuring visual consistency and adherence to brand guidelines. Image resolution and size were verified across various screens to maintain visual clarity, and all forms were tested to confirm smooth submission processes.
Conclusion
Our thorough testing ensured the Arcadis website met high standards for usability and reliability. By identifying and addressing potential issues during development, we contributed to delivering a polished and robust website experience, reflecting Arcadis’ commitment to excellence and professionalism. This collaboration highlighted our capability to manage complex CMS testing and deliver solutions aligned with client expectations.
