Project Overview

The Dairy Crest website is an online platform that provides information about the company’s products and services, as well as dental health tips and resources for consumers. Our QA team was tasked with conducting comprehensive testing of the website to ensure that it was functioning properly and providing a seamless user experience.

Challenges

  • One of the major challenges that we faced was ensuring that the website’s content was accurate and up-to-date. Dairy Crest is a news and media website, so it was critical that the information presented on the website was factual and relevant. This required us to conduct extensive content testing to ensure that the news articles, images, and videos presented on the website were accurate and up-to-date.
  • To overcome this challenge, we developed a comprehensive testing plan that included testing the website’s content management system (CMS) and ensuring that all content was properly tagged, categorized, and formatted. We also conducted manual testing of individual news articles to ensure that the information presented was accurate and that all images and videos were properly displayed.
  • In addition, we also had to ensure that Dairy Crest‘s search functionality was effective and provided users with accurate and relevant search results. This required us to conduct comprehensive testing of Dairy Crest’s search feature and ensure that it was properly integrated with the website’s content management system.

Solution & Strategy

  • To address the challenge of ensuring accurate and up-to-date content, we developed a comprehensive testing plan that included manual testing. We used automated testing tools to ensure that all articles, images, and videos were properly formatted and displayed on the Dairy Crest website.
  • For manual testing, we developed a team of experienced testers who were familiar with news and media content. These testers were responsible for reviewing each article on the website and ensuring that the information presented was accurate and up-to-date. They also reviewed images and videos to ensure that they were relevant to the content of the article.
  • To ensure effective defect management, we implemented a defect tracking system that allowed us to quickly and easily report and track defects. This system also provided a centralized location for developers and testers to communicate and collaborate on resolving defects.

Conclusion

To sum up, our QA team faced a number of challenges while working on the Dairy Crest project, including ensuring accurate and up-to-date content, effective defect management, and website performance. However, by implementing a comprehensive testing plan that combined manual testing, using a defect tracking system, and conducting performance testing, we were able to successfully address these challenges and deliver a high-quality website. Our team’s expertise and attention to detail allowed us to identify and resolve potential issues before they became major problems, ensuring that the Dairy Crest website provided users with a seamless and engaging experience. Overall, we are proud of the work we accomplished on this project and look forward to applying our skills and knowledge to similar challenges in the future.
