Project Overview
Masterclash, a collaborative effort between Judo Sloth and Supercell, aimed to enhance the Clash of Clans gaming experience by providing educational videos through a dedicated platform. Our role in the project was to ensure the quality and functionality of the Masterclash website across desktop and mobile devices. Key testing areas included SuperCell ID login, progression through different Town Hall levels, and verification of video functionality upon Town Hall updates.
Challenges
Several challenges surfaced during the quality assurance phase. The complexity of the game updates posed difficulties in ensuring seamless transitions for players returning to the game. Testing the SuperCell ID login and validating video content across various Town Hall levels presented intricate scenarios. Maintaining alignment with Figma designs added an extra layer of complexity.
Solution & Strategy
To address these challenges, a meticulous testing approach was implemented. We conducted extensive testing on desktop and mobile platforms, scrutinizing SuperCell ID logins and validating video functionality for each Town Hall level. Critical issues were reported and documented in Airtable, facilitating transparent communication and issue resolution. Regular checks were performed to ensure the website’s fidelity to the provided Figma designs.
Conclusion
Through rigorous quality assurance efforts, Masterclash successfully overcame the challenges posed by player engagement and retention issues in Clash of Clans. Our testing approach not only ensured the functionality of key features but also identified and resolved critical issues promptly. By maintaining close adherence to Figma designs, we contributed to a seamless user experience. The project’s success highlights the importance of robust quality assurance in enhancing player satisfaction and strengthening the relationship between the gaming community and Supercell.
