Overview

Megger Group Limited is a renowned international company specializing in electrical test and measurement equipment. With a rich history dating back to 1889, Megger has established itself as a leader in the industry. Headquartered in the United Kingdom, the company operates globally through its subsidiaries and distribution network. Megger focuses on designing and manufacturing portable electrical test equipment and software.
The objective was to merge Megger Salesforce & Drupal Aquia site together so that the customers were able to get support from the same platform instead of two separate ones.

Challenges

The key challenges in the Megger project was to establish and maintain a robust test environment. This involved creating a reliable testing infrastructure and ensuring seamless integration with the Megger software and systems. Additionally, understanding and reviewing the business requirements was crucial to meet the client’s expectations and delivering a high-quality product.

Solution & Strategy

  • The QA team implemented various strategies to address the challenges in the Megger project. They performed comprehensive backend testing using Drupal 9 CMS, ensuring the stability and functionality of the environment.

  • In Salesforce testing, the team verified the accurate representation of data within the Salesforce platform, guaranteeing data integrity.  Another critical aspect was testing complex workflows and processes within the Megger software. The QA team meticulously examined these workflows to identify and resolve any issues, ensuring a smooth user experience. The QA team focused on testing the integrations of the Megger system with other relevant systems to ensure seamless data transfer and interoperability.

  • Special emphasis was placed on the user interface, ensuring it was intuitive and user-friendly. The design guidelines were provided in Figma, to conduct front-end testing. This approach helped validate that the user interface aligned with the intended design and provided an optimal user experience.
